All–on–4® is a reliable, long-term, scientifically proven and supported method of jaw rehabilitation that allows the creation of a fixed prosthetic replacement just a few hours after the surgical procedure. All–on–4® therapy is a modern and high-quality solution for implant placement in patients who need rehabilitation of the entire jaw, i.e. they are either edentulous or their teeth are in the terminal phase of a disease that can no longer be retained in the mouth (they are scheduled for extraction).
The All–on–4® system uses four titanium Nobel Biocare implants that are strategically placed to enable the support of a full arch restoration, and the procedure itself and the method of installation are designed in such a way that no bone augmentation is required, which was most often required in classic rehabilitation methods (in the previously mentioned patients).
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, and here at Orto Nova there is also the possibility of conscious sedation with the special supervision of a specialist in anesthesiology and resuscitation. At the first visit, the patient is given a complete diagnosis – anamnesis, medical history, a CBCT, an intraoral scan of the jaws and photography are taken.
After that, he starts with planning the work itself and the computer creation of the temporary restoration in the dental laboratory. In order for the work to aesthetically meet the highest standards, the work is made according to the Smile design concept.
The operative procedure consists of tooth extraction (if the patient has them), modification of the jaw and cleaning of the inflammation, installation of 4 Nobel Biocare implants, placement of prosthetic extensions and placement of a fixed temporary bridge. Thus, the patient regains his functionality and aesthetics in just a few hours.
A fixed bridge allows for complete jaw functionality and a carefree everyday life: relaxed smiling, eating and drinking, and normal speech. Of course, after surgery, swelling and pain in the jaw are normal and will subside over the next few days. In case of pain, it is necessary to follow the doctor’s recommendations, who will direct you to painkillers and their proper use.
